Laptops for the Council

Been meaning to mention this for a long time but never seem to remember. Many months back I heard that our town Council were all getting laptops. As a business owner who sells and services computers, I wasn’t even aware of it until well after the fact, when I saw an article about it in the local newspaper.
From what I’ve heard there was no announcement before-hand, not even a letter in the paper asking for local tenders. To this day I don’t know where they actually got them from, never mind the fact that half of the councilors didn’t even want one to begin with. Really makes me wonder where all our tax dollars end up.
