Whenever I need new shelves in the store, I tend to end up building them myself. From scratch. Using my own designs. Of course, now that I don’t really need anything else I’ve found a great website that has thousands of detailed articles on such things as building bookshelves, cabinets, tables, etc. If only I had known about this place a few months ago I could have saved myself a lot of time in the planning phase and gotten right into the building phase.
Also available are a collection of do it yourself DVDs which take you through several projects step by step. The DVDs sell for $14.99 each but you can get the whole set for just $99. One of my plans for next spring/summer is to put up a fence around the backyard, so now I’ve go the winter to get my research done and this will be a good place to start.
