Gaming Headset

When playing multiplayer games online there’s nothing better than being able to hear your teammates or opponents. Taking the time to type out messages is Ok when playing a slower paced game like World of Warcraft or EverQuest, but in a first person shooter where every split second counts, typing is not an option.

The big problem is finding a good sturdy headset that is also comfortable to wear for hours at a time. A desktop mic just won’t cut it, the sound is horrible and anytime you bump the table you’ll deafen anyone on the other end. The AudioFX Pro 5+1 Headset is well made, with padding around the ear cups as well as on the head strap. The mic is well built also and can swivel from front to back.

It’s a USB headset with a build in 5.1 decoder, so you can still have your regular game sounds and music coming from your speakers while keeping the voice chat in the headset. My current headset is still holding up fairly well, but when it comes time to replace it I’ll be looking to take a set of these for a test drive.
