Ok so I’m sure most people have heard by now of the BC teacher who named a teddy bear Muhammad and is going to have to spend a little time in jail over it, and then be deported back to Canada. Compared to the maximum penalty of 40 lashes or 6 months in jail or a fine, I guess 15 days and deportation isn’t so bad. But seriously, what the f**k is wrong with people? It was a misunderstanding. If she had been in the bible belt and named the bear Jesus do you think there would be so much controversy over it? No, of course not. Some people would probably complain I’m sure, but jail time? Whippings? I doubt it. The Salem witch trials ended a long time ago.
