A lot of people have been in looking for used Xbox 360 games over the last month or so, but not many people are selling them off yet even though the system has been around for 2 years now. Some ask whether you can play original XBox games on the 360, and the answer to that is maybe. A few factors need to line up in order for that to work.
First, you need to have a 360 with a hard drive attached. As far as I know it won’t work with just a memory card, although now that they have 256mb and 512mb cards available this may be possible. Next, in order for the games to play, each one needs to download a patch from the internet. The easiest way to do this is by connecting your 360 directly to the internet. You can plug it into a router using the built in network jack, or buy the wireless adapter to connect to a wireless router. This saves you the effort of running cables through your walls, but the wireless adapter is rather expensive. You can also download the patches with a computer, burn them to a CD and put that in the 360 when requested.
Not all the origional XBox games have been patched to work on the 360 though. For a complete list of compatible games, go check out the official xbox website.
