All’s Quiet on the Piracy Front

Despite alleged attempts by Staples and Walmart to run all us little guys out of business by crying piracy to Microsoft, most of us are still here. I wrote a while back that Computers Are Us and Kwiklink were apparently shut down for those reasons and that a couple others were expected to go as well. Rumors have proved false though as Jim has confirmed that everything is smooth sailing over at Nova 5, he’s not going anywhere any time soon.
No harm was intended towards Jim or Nova 5 by my earlier post, I was simply speculating on rumors not reporting facts. I’ve known him a long time, in fact I bought my first computer from Cassa and then over the next few years bought several upgrades from 5 Star. I eventually got a job at CTS Computers doing web design and some repairs, but that company only survived a couple of years. Fast forward a few years through some boring manual labor type jobs and then I opened Lakeview in ’99, which eventually became Gator Byte. And that folks is how you go completely off topic in a blog post!
