Web Hosting Reviews

Back when I was looking for a web host I did a fair bit of research before settling on BlueHost. A little more searching may have been a good idea though since I’ve been noticing a somewhat annoying amount of downtime lately. It doesn’t go down for long, maybe 10 minutes at a time, but it is annoying when it happens, especially if I have work to do and have to sit here waiting for the server to come back up.
The Web Hosting Bluebook would have been a great resource had I known about it last June, they take a look at all the major hosting plans and do thorough reviews of them in order to help people make more informed decisions when purchasing web space. Check out the Go Daddy hosting review for example, they talk about reputation, price points, control panels and the type of support you can expect.
I’m hoping that my problems with Bluehost are just related to the particular server I’m on, and not Bluehost as a whole. I’d hate to have to switch to a whole new host, it would require a lot of work to do. The next time it goes down I’m going to be putting up a fuss about it to try and get moved to a different server in their farm.
