Window Coverings : Gator Byte

We finally got around to putting up some new curtains in the house. 3 years with a bedsheet tacked up over the bedroom window was just a little too long. Being busy with the store, combined with a bit of laziness and being unable to find the right length curtains all added up create quite a delay. We got some on sale and then had them hemmed up 10″ at a local fabric shop so that they wouldn’t be touching the baseboard heater which is inconveniently located right under the window in every room. We picked up a nice curtain rod on sale as well for half price at Zellers.

Another option would have been to go with something heavier like blinds, the wife had her eyes on a nice bamboo set, but that didn’t seem suitable for the bedroom. Maybe when we redo the living room we’ll look at those again since they’d be dark enough keep the sun from glaring off the TV.
