Yarmouth getting new High School

It was announced yesterday that Yarmouth will be getting a new High School by 2011. The current one was built in 1951 and is in need of some renovations. After looking at the cost to renovate and expand the existing building, it was decided that an entirely new school was a better option, to the tune of $25 million. Seems to be a common trend around here lately, building new instead of renovating. The Justice Center, the Yarmouth Municipality and now the High School. That’s a lot of money flying around, I wonder where it’s all coming from?
