GTA IV First Impressions : Gator Byte

These are my very early first impressions with GTA IV, I’m sure my opinion will change once I’ve gotten more into the game. So far I’ve only played about an hour and a half and the driving sucks. It’s cool because it’s realistic, but I don’t play games for realism, I play games to drive fast and do things I can’t do in real life. I also find it’s really dark, maybe I just need to adjust some settings but the cell phone is almost impossible to read even during the day.

The game itself is extremely well done though, the graphics are top notch, voice acting is great and so far the story is decent. I wouldn’t give it 100% rating though like so many websites and magazines, but it’s easily worth a 95. Time to go start my 4th attempt at ‘Bleed Out’, it’s a little frustrating failing a mission so many times this early in the game. Once I unlock the whole city I probably won’t even bother with the story line for a while, just driving around wreaking havoc is as much fun. And multiplayer, i hear that’s good too.
