Holy crap. I was looking around at new PC games to see if there’s anything interesting to play. I quit EverQuest 2 a few months ago (again) and World of Warcraft bores me to tears now so I haven’t been playing anything at all on computer lately. When playing computer games I like to have least have the recommended specs. Games will work with the minimum reqs, but usually it’ll be slow or choppy.
Some of the recent releases are just insane on the requirements though. Assassin’s Creed for example recommends having an Athlon 4400+ (got that), 3gb memory (I only have 2), a 512mb video card (mine’s a lowly 256mb) and DirectX 10 (Windows Vista can go f**k itself as far as I’m concerned). So my decent PC isn’t even really good enough to play some of the new games and I’m not about to dump several hundred bucks into upgrading it again.
Oh the joys of just popping a game into my XBox 360 and having it work instantly, no need for upgrades.
