Carmageddon : Gator Byte

It’s an old game series by todays standards, and they kind of ruined it with the last installment, but Carmageddon 1 and 2 were damn fun games back in the day. The characters were pure cheese, reminding me heavily of Death Race 2000, trying to blow each other up (don’t bother with car insurance comparisons for these racers) and running over pedestrians for bonus points.

The 3rd installment in the series took on a more cartoonish feel and added stunts and things rather than just straight out racing. People were harder to hit too, and while it’s more realistic because of that, it wasn’t nearly as fun. I’d love to see a console remake and I seriously don’t see why it couldn’t be done these days, given the amount of violence they get away with in GTA for one.
