Lego Indiana Jones

I played the Lego Star Wars games a while back and this month saw the release of Lego Indiana Jones. I enjoyed the others so I decided to check this one out too. Overall it’s a very fun game. Like the Star Wars one you journey through a variety of levels while following the storyline of the original movies. Also like the previous game there isn’t a great deal of challenge to it, if you keep playing you will finish the game. The only penalty for dying is that you lose some of your lego bolts, the games currency, which isn’t much of a deal at all. You die and you respawn a couple of seconds later.

Having said that, the motorbike escape level was extremely annoying. Having to maneuver over angled ramps, through landmines and along the edge of a cliff wasn’t overly fun. Once you get off the bike near the end, you’re faced with a seemingly endless stream of bazooka dudes that kill you with one shot. I think I died more times in that level than in the rest of the game combined. It’s not enough to detract from the overall experience though, but I sure don’t look forward to replaying it to find the hidden stuff.
