There’s certainly no shortage of good web hosts out there and lately it seems that there’s no shortage of web hosting sites either. They’re springing up all over the place and in some cases seem to be little more than a collection of affiliate links wrapped in a ‘review site’ wrapper. Web Hosting Geeks seems to be yet another one of those, I’m not calling it useless of course, they do provide a good list of available hosts and list out the basic features so readers can make a somewhat informed decision before signing up with a new host. The reason everyone is clamoring to ‘review’ web hosts? Money. Bluehost for example was paying a $65 referral fee last time I looked into it. So take your reviews with a grain of salt and if possible find someone you know who is already using a particular host to get a better idea if it’s going to be right for you.
