Those 30″ LCDs

I had mentioned some 30″ LCDs that were going to be available a while back, but in the end I decided not to order any of them in. It turns out they were all missing speakers and bases, so the only way to use them would be to buy a new base or a TV wall mount, and then wire up some external speakers. As a computer monitor the speaker thing wouldn’t really matter, but if you wanted to use it as a TV it would have been a bit of a hassle. Ultimately I didn’t feel the deal was good enough since a decent base/wall mount would run another $50 on top of the purchase price.
