Chloe Starting School : Gator Byte

I have no idea where the time has gone, but the lil one will be starting school in September. Next week though she goes for the Ready, Set Go program for a week which will help prepare her and determine whether she is ready for school. She’s only 4 and a half right now but due to the changes made recently, she is able to start a year earlier than usual, her birthday is in December, so in previous years she’d have had to wait another year.

Ready, Set, Go is a early program done by Parent’s Place. It used to run for 2 weeks but due to funding cut backs they have had to reduce it to 1 week. During the week (for Chloe it’s Aug 5 to 8) the kids go to school for 6 hours, from 8:30 til 2:30, where they learn what it’s like to be in a classroom and follow a regular school day including lunch, recess, arts,crafts and so on. I’m sure she’ll like it, but since we’ve never put her in a day care or pre-school before it’s hard to say how things will turn out.
