ListBuilding With Tellman Knudson – Scam?
544 words eaten alive on September 15, 2008 - Filed Under Amused, Business, Internet, Spam/Scam -
The last time an internet opportunity reeked this bad was when the RFS was floating heavily around the internet. The famous ‘beach bum’ pulling in millions an hour by suckering poor individuals into coughing up a $50 “tire kicker weeder outer fee” and then being told that in order to make money they had to pony up another $2995.
Now we have a Mr. Tellman Knudson and The ListBuilding Club. Now, I don’t know for a fact that he’s a scammer, I’ve never met him in person and so far I’ve been unable to find much information about who he really is or what he really does. What I have been able to find are hundreds of pages extolling the virtues of his wonderful Listbuilding skills and how he can teach all of us to make a fortune. So let’s dig a little into his website. It promises taking a $1000/month business and turning it into a $10000/month business. Well, all I need to do is put in my first name and email address. Ok, I’ll bite, I’m ever the skeptic but on the other hand I’d LOVE to make a shitload of cash every month for very little effort.
After putting in my information I am greeted with a sales letter. It’s interesting in the typical fashion, informing me that during my FREE MONTH! AT GOLD LEVEL! I’ll get to watch some videos and… oh no… I skipped to the bottom of the page and they’re asking for my credit card information already, for a free trial. *sigh* I’m sorry Mr. Knudson, I tried to give you a chance. Oh wait, I forgot to check my email. Be right back…
…
……
………
Ok I’m back. I was treated to a nice little video on how to buy my very own domain name. Good information for those who don’t know how to go about it. He explains step by step how to use Godaddy to buy a name. For a first timer, godaddy can be quite confusing to navigate so this tutorial video is pretty handy, I guess. Personally though I already know how to buy domains so that was a waste of 11 minutes.
And there’s a link under the video, which brings me back to the Sales Letter and the little boxes asking for my credit card info. As I said before, this reeks of the beach bum from so many months before. Time to hit up Lord Google and see what else I can find on Tellman. HOLY CRAP IT’S A SCREENSHOT OF HIS ‘SALES ACCOUNT’ STATEMENT WITH HALF A MILLION DOLLARS IN SALES! Errr, yeah, nice goin’ there buddy. You just convinced me you’re no different than the thousands of other scam artists out there.
When all is said and done, it’s up to each person to decide if they want to partake in a system like this; after all it is possible that I’m wrong in my assumptions about Mr. Knudsons integrity. Check out the information, form your own opinions and feel free to discuss it here in the comments section. I look forward to reading what you have to say.

You are absolutely correct in your assumptions about this idiot. He sells info on making lists, and then bombarding people with emails from gurus galor to buy into his dozens of other programs, most of which are, you guessed it, how to build lists! I got suckered into a $ 12.00 package, and was told that couple of dozen other guru’s are going to give free crap to me, and that I’ll be given back my shipping cost, $ 12.00. Got the monty okay, but low and behold, I received two charges for ove $ 60.00. When I looked into them, I found out that I “signed” up for an auto ship of his stupid dvd and a newsletter. So I followed instructions and cancelled. The charged held onto my card, and then two weeks AFTER cancelleing I get another email telling me that I am being sent the above dvd/newletter and congradulations! I was forced to file a complaint with my card, and I am still waiting for refund. Tellman has you running in circles to cancel, and even has the audacity to state on his site that cancelling is for the FOLLOWING month, and that you have no choice but to keep what you “bought”. They do not have any live body to speak to and NEVER respond to any email. Moron does not know who he is dealing with. I have filled complaints with the attorney general in Vermont, as well as new york. Stay away from anything to do with any of these so called guru’s.

Hi Tony, thank you, I always check the scammers data base before purchasing anything anymore, I have been scammed so much over the years.
Do you know of any ligitimate programs that I can really make money doing?
Thanks for the input
Hi, this is the first time that I join a forum discussion. This should show you how much I am concerned.
Today I have received a free CD from Tellman Knudson with the title ‘Bonus Interview with Tellman on Product Creation’. I had already a bad gut feeling just from looking at the package. But then I listened to the CD and what I have heard is the most unethical thing I have ever seen in my 30 years of doing business.
The first part of his CD contained a led hypnosis. So you think that you can learn something new about product creation, but the first few seconds you get literally laid. Of course, at the end of the hypnosis he tells you to trust Tellman’s company.
If this guy lived in Europe I would report him to the psychological association. Though this might not be illegal, because most lawyers have no idea about the enormous power of hypnosies, it is highly unethical. I am a hypnosis therapist and I have always been extremely careful and cautious to what I ‘implement’ in people’s mind. There is a huge responsibility. Hypnosis should only be used for therapeutical use and not to SELL things to people. I am disgusted.
All I can say is, that if you see this guy’s name, run as fast as possible.

Gotta chip in here; I’ve been trying to cancel with Tellman’s outfit for two months. Been charged twice now after I canceled to the tune of an extra $60. But, hey, they last said that “as a matter of good faith” they will refund my most recent payment. I repeatedly told them to remove me from every list they have and then just yesterday I received another phone call from them.
No wonder the guy can say he’s taking in millions. TAKING is the operative word here in my opinion. Of course, I generally just call it stealing.
We’ll see if I get my refund.
This guy gives Internet Marketing a bad name! What really scares me is all the other big names that promote him!
Give me the “little guy” who still cares enough about his/her customer to not steal them blind!
Hi – just found this and write to give my two pennyworth and my view is different.
I wasn’t looking for a scam but to learn and quickly. For $1 I have access for 1 month to high quality training. The main writer above gives example of one good video showing how to buy a domain. On the site and available for my trial is every posssible step in getting a business up and running, broken down into short, show how videos of up to 20 minutes duration plus other material, discounts etc.
I feel it’s put all the pieces of the jigsaw together for me brilliantly!
There’s about 23 Lessons each with 5-12 individual training videos within. For me it’s make the most of it and learn!! It’s like having an expert hold your hand. The quality of training is fantastic as is the support if you don’t understand and need help.
I have found the knowledge invaluable – I’ve watched almost every video and made copious notes before just starting to action it this evening. Though quite computer literate this was a whole new ball game and it’s enabled me to get a site up with blog started within about an hour. I’m just gobsmacked! Baby steps for sure but without the training I couldn’t have done it on my own!
I think what I’ve seen so far has been really helpful and I’m making the most of my month trial and will then decide. What’s also good about is they don’t just relate the training to ebook selling but constantly give examples for real businesses, from golf shops to dog grooming.
On the negative side, the videoa are slow to download (which is a pain) and yes there are sales emails but let’s face it, Tellman writes one liners and how different is that to anyone else involved in IM ?. I ignore the majority of these emails and sorry Tellman and everyone else will only buy if I feel the offer is of value to me.
It’s very early days and perhaps I’m naaive or stupid but each day I get lots of emails from ‘Gurus’ and ‘little guys’ ALL just wanting to sell the latest magic ‘earn a million product’ but none of them providing the quality training I’m getting here for a month.
If you cancel a subscription and it’s not actioned, surely you just refer the matter to your credit card company who will freeze the transaction and ensure you get your refund?
I can’t see there’s a risk and would say instead of knocking it, go get your money’s worth from the site with fantastic training that can be applied to any business. There’s also discounts, a months aweber autoresponder for $1, good advice on accessing allsorts of stuff for free or the smallest price – there is just so much there for someone who’s new or inexperienced and I’d happily recommend it.
The main writer says he’s not sure if Tellman is a scammer, so far I’d say no – i’m a genuinely satisfied customer and promise I don’t know him or work for him!
Go make the most of his training.
I fell for it and it is a scam.
Listening to the so called training, he doesn’t say anything. Just repeating words and indeed it sounds like hypnotising.
Got onto this through Mary Gersten Cashflow, an other scam full of promising but no delivery.
Paid a lot of money for a map full of nonsense and unworkable. Even bought a CD and again they don’t say A,B,C but blablabla.
I have tried Herbalife, ACN and NSA and all are pyramides. A good way to loose your money and your friends….

Run away! Run away!
Overcome Everything, Inc., s/b called Take Everything and Run!
Beware of the $1 offers! They are called “hidden” forced continuity programs & many unethical marketers have used this practice to get a hold of your credit card number. “Hidden” in the too-good-to-be-true $1 offer is usually a 30-day “free” membership program. If you don’t cancel within 30 days your credit card will automatically be charged whatever the fee is for the monthly membership program (usually between $19 and $59/month). That is the forced continuity part of the program. The way the scam works is that if you don’t know that you’ve signed up for a forced continuity program, it may be 2-3 months before you notice that you are getting charged. And that is exactly what the scammer is counting on.
Marketers that make it clear in their offers that you are signing up for a trial membership are not breaking the law. Scammers that hide the forced continuity offer in small text, on another page of the website, in direct mail, in misleading or obscure language very likely ARE breaking the law.
Although I have not been personally scammed by Tellman Knudson, I have been by another marketer who used the exact same approach. I was out 2 months’ credit card payments (which is about the average for these types of scams) before I was able to nip it in the bud.
As for Shawn and Tellman, Overcome Everything or Tellman Knudson email marketing campaigns, run, do not walk, in the other direction. I have read enough complaints about this guy to know you should not have anything to do with him.
I have tried repeatedly to get my email address removed from the Shawn and Tellman subscriber list. The Unsubscribe link is broken, the 1-800 number (listed in this thread, as a matter of fact) is out of order, and I refuse to submit a ticket, which requires my email address.
I have filed a complaint with the FTC (FTC.gov), sent him notes on Twitter, and continue to look for ways to discontinue receiving emails. I am open to suggestions. But at the very least, I want to warn you away from this creep. He has made a TERRIBLE name for himself in the internet marketing world.
I was scammed as well. I went for the $1.00 offer and was under the impression that’s all I would be charged but today I received a receipt for a charge of $67.00 for the list builder. I didn’t agree to any further charges and I do not remember being told that I would be charged this amount in the future. These guys are a rip off and to top it off all of a sudden after the 1.00 initial trial payment I started getting phones calls trying to sell me some outrageous mentor package for some $25,000. They wanted to know all of my financial information like a credit company. Even though I told them I didn’t have that type of money they still tried to get me to buy into their ridiculous Mentor service. These guys are beyond unethical. Also before I even left the original website that offered the 1.00 trial I started getting phone calls. I am complaining to my Bank as this was done through debit and I’m hoping that I have the fraud protection on my personal account like I do on my business account. If so they ( tellman and co) will have to answer to these charges and in the meantime I will get my money back. More people need to complain about these guys and get them out of business.
NO working phone number for these guys. The website # claims to have too many calls and suggests that you go to there support page and launch an issue and the number above written by one of their staff is disconnected. Sounds pretty fishy don’t you think. Any legitimate business would have a working support number.
If you want to purchase any $1, $7 etc “product”
set up a small account with a bank or credit union
and get a visa card.
You can then monitor transactions and the minute an “unauthorized” transaction occurs, stop it.
I actually have dispute forms ready and just concact them and get a name and if no refund I fax the form to my credit union.
Have gotten the refund within 5 days mostly.
You can also report fraud to VISA on top of getting the refund. Visa does not take kindly to fraud, even “fine print”. Do this and you will never be scammed again!
I tried to stop the monthly payment as the first 2 months were free. I did wrote and email that I didn’t want to carry on. They did take $49,95 off my account. My bank said that it was difficult to get it back. They immidiatly cancelled my card and gave me a new one. Told me never do it again. Except with trustful websites like amazon or alike.
I was scammed by Tellman’s $1 LBC trial too. Seemed really a good offer, but the materials are unimpressive and the site doesn’t appear to be well maintained. It appears to be just a collection of materials in a disorganized manner.
Still, no issue about that, and it’s only a $1 trial. I sent in a ticket for membership cancellation but didn’t receive any response.
Subsequently my credit card was charged $97 (Gold LBC!) and I have since sent SEVERAL tickets requesting for my refund through :
overcomeeverything.com/refunds
tellmansupport.com
tellman.helpserve.com
but received NO response. The support ticketing system also appeared to have bugs. I’m not sure what options are available besides working with my bank.
Andy
I picked up the perpetual cash machine cd. IT WAS CRAP.
Everyone in the IM world sings this guy’s praises (he was recently featuerd at Yanik Silver’s underground conference) so I was really looking forwrd to hearing his take on building a list.
Instead I got a 60 minute long sales pitch with lots of hyperbole and no content.
His biggest words of wisdom were: use an auto responder and a squeeze page. …really? that’s the big secret?
complete waste of money and more importantly a waste of my time!
steer clear of this jackass.
I just found this site.. All I can sat is my experience with Tellman is very different.
1) I got everything he promised. Whatever he said I would get for a certain $, I got it.
2) I received access to literally over 100 hours of audio and video, and hundreds of pages/e-books, that – in my humble opinion – we 80-90% content, and not hype. Most of this stuff was new to me, so I consider this information well worth the few dollars I spent. I am still pouring through all of this!
3) After a few months I actually felt OVERWHELMED with the information and I realized I wasn’t ready for this yet so I canceled my membership. No hassle. In fact, it was the easiest cancellation of any monthly program I ever had.
Oh, did I mention that each time I called the contact # I talked to a real live person each time who was very nice and helpful?
And there were live teleseminars where I could ask Tellman personally about any problem I was having?
I don’t know what other people’s definition of a scam is, but this is not one of them.
After I “get my act together” I am even thinking about starting my membership back.
There are people out there who promise things, never deliver, take your money, impossible to contact, etc. that’s my definition of a scam.
Mr. Tellman is far from that…based on my personal experience.
Thank you for listening.
Hello!
our article is very interesting and it’s very nice of you that you have described every thing nicely which is very helpful.
Good Day
I inadvertently bumped into the blog at Gator-Byte.com and what I found was not too appetizing to say the least.
I couldn’t let this pass without posting to the blog…
Some of these posts make me sick! I mean it!
Booulaaagh! Now I’ve got to clean up the mess…
How Tellman Knudson’s The Listbuilding Club relates to this post,
["The last time an internet opportunity reeked this bad was when the RFS was floating heavily around the internet. The famous ‘beach bum’ pulling in millions an hour by suckering poor individuals into coughing up a $50 “tire kicker weeder outer fee” and then being told that in order to make money they had to pony up another $2995."]
…is a sheer mystery to me! I absolutely see no correlation between this and LBC!
The person who wrote this haggled over $1! Pretty damned good deal for the price and it might as well be as if it were free!
Was surprised that he had to whip out his credit card! I don’t believe that dollar is any sort of profit!
Puts the information given in the LBC lessons down because that’s supposed to make everybody who comes into it rich…but forgets the fact that it’s not the information at fault – its the members who have varying degrees of financial prowess, work ethics, determination, ambition, etc. Some will and some won’t – it’s reality!
Wants to do little work and make a lot of money anyway. Forgets that Tellman had to work very hard to get to a condition like this – and is usually the case with any other wealthy person at first! That’s the trouble with the Internet – Unscrupulous marketers prey on this human flaw and is why so many get-rich-quick schemes abound. Really give programs like this a bad name.
I hardly think Tellman’s programs fall in this category! Go to college and get a good education so you can land a great career – some do and some don’t…whose fault is that?
Yes, some of the first few videos are pretty basic! Get a domain name from GoDaddy and hosting from HostGator. Yes, that’s basic but it sounds like this writer did not bother to go into the “Lessons” menu clearly seen in the tabline at the top of the website. It abounds with some pretty challenging information well done in a clear fashion by Brian Edmunson.
It also sounds like the writer already had a negative outlook on this program before he even looked into it.
Gaouleee! I won’t even go into the resulting posts left by other people who were attracted like a magnet to such misinformation.
I will say to those who posted in defense of Knudson, “My hat off to you!”
——————
I went for the $1 LBC deal and this thing about “hidden forced continuity programs…”
Not so with this program! You will find that if you pay closer attention to programs like this you won’t get burned like you think you have…
I remember when my mother subscribed to the Colmubia House Records & Tape Club. In the 1970s when 8-track cartridges were king she went ahead and got her initial stack of country and western tapes. Wow! What a deal!
But then came the time when she had to fill out that card denying the “house selection” so she wouldn’t get it that month. However sometimes she totally forgot about the card and lo and behind! …here comes that tape with the country and western band she didn’t like – or that she didn’t have the funds to pay for it that month. Sad to say, I used to get a kick out of her getting that tape and cussing over it!
“Goddamit!” I would hear her day as she cussed at it when she came home from work and found it in the mail.
She knew the implications. It was all right there in writing when she signed up for the deal.
It’s the same thing with Tellman Knudson’s ListBuilding Club. This is for you people who are complaining about the subscription that comes with the $1 deal!
It’s even better than the Columbia House Record and Tape Club! Whose fault is it if YOU don’t read the sales page? Why, you could have just used the thirty days and canceled! Couldn’t do that with Columbia House in the 1970s or now for that matter UNTIL YOU SATISFY YOUR AGREEMENT.
I had no problem knowing these concessions! It’s right there in black and white. People just want stuff for next to nothing! Golly! I see nothing wrong with this program! It did me a world of good helping me put stuff on my blog and I have indispensable knowledge now because of that program. Yes, I did stay in it for a few months until I felt I had enough of it down to proceed without it. Had I the funds I would probably continue with it.
The video and audio banks are getting progressively larger and I don’t think the addition of a single lesson per month (which includes anywhere from four to eight videos and a couple teleseminar recordings) is worth paying the $67 but for the first few months digesting all the materials, in my opinion, it’s worth it.
I had no problem canceling my subscription. I did it the way they wanted it done and it was a done deal. I can’t get into the Member’s Area now but they didn’t charge me either.
For you complainers out there…
OVERCOME EVERYTHING EVEN TOLD ME THAT IF AND WHEN I COME BACK TO THE CLUB THEY’D GIVE ME TWO MONTHS FREE!!! How’s THAT for a deal?
With sevaral, if not many thousands of people subscribed in the various programs they can’t possibly attend to each and everybody personally!
That’s common sense.
It’s not Overcome Everything’s fault if some of you could not delay gratification long enough to READ the sales page or where ever the concessions of joining this club was written! Remember this and you will go farther…
Some people make it happen…
Some people let it happen…
Others say, “WHAT HAPPENED?”
The entitlement mentality has surely grown like cancer!
Learn how to be accountable for your actions and DON’T blame Tellman Knudson because all the sudden you are being charged $67 and you’re going, “WHAT????”
It’s not very often anything like this comes without a price and for goodness sake, you get such value for a buck for a month! What more do you want?
Yes, I hate the email I get from Overcome Everything. It’s pretty hypish like you find with some of these new millionaires. They’re a tad too slap-happy, but wouldn’t you be if you suddenly began bringing in a fortune? You can always unsubscribe from the list or do like I do – delete them.
I’ve been subscribed to this company when it was known as “the ListCrusade.” The guy was living in a crowded apartment with other people sharing it and dogs and cats, a crappy cobbled-up computer and a crappy car.
I’d love to be in his place right now – not having to answer to a company that I work for and be controlled by it even in my “spare” time – if there’s such a thing in the life of a wage slave. I’m sure that if I were to break out of this crummy lifestyle I’d have people badmouthing me because I have freedom that they only dream of.
If this company did anything unethical I’d be right in there with you all. I read it before I entered the deal.
If you read it you’d know better. If you did read it and knew there was a charge and then shot off your post like some of those above then you are the unethical one and very mean too!
They did nothing wrong.
Now I’ve finished with my rant hopefully one of two of you will reconsider what you said. Slam me and flame me all you want if this angers you but if you do it then it is a further reflection on you.
I will end this with one more statement from the writer above,
["When all is said and done, it’s up to each person to decide if they want to partake in a system like this; after all it is possible that I’m wrong in my assumptions about Mr. Knudsons [sic] integrity. Check out the information, form your own opinions and feel free to discuss it here in the comments section. I look forward to reading what you have to say.”]
I wonder how long my post will stay up on this blog if it even makes it to where it is visible to the public.
If it does then I do have to take my hat off to the owner of this blog or whoever wrote the pilot post because he’s exercising good sportsmanship.
Has anyone noticed that the only comments supporting this guy are extremely long, well written posts (sales letters anyone?)
Its pretty obvious they are being written and posted by people employed by this guy.
Smells like a scammer to me
I am so glad I had a chance to see all of these posts and comments about Tellman Knudson. I just bought into his ListBuilding Club ($1.00) and was ready to enter his other $50,000 five month guaranteed program where they provide you a full staff of protegeies in his company to help you along the way to your guaranteed 50k in riches.
Come on now!! I have been on the internet for a long time now and everything that Tellman gives you in his Program is very old information. The stuff he is teaching you in the Quick Start Section of list building with, GoDaddy and HostGator is very elementary and he doesn’t even go into diferent types of domains either. Can you say “Do You Have The Knowledge Of A Fifth Grader”. Because that’s the way he is treating you.
He constantly sends you emails from the material that’s in the Quick Start of LBC. He’s using this as something that reinforces that he know what he is doing. But he don’t. And why in the HELL does he keep stating that he is going to run across the country in his bare feet. What does that have to do with marketing!! Sound’s like he’s trying to imitate Forrest Gump. Why!!!
He sent me to an audio presentation that Dan Kuschell had done for him. Dan was an awful speaker, and could not motivate you at all, and he kept repeating stuff that he had gotten from Frank Kern’s MC 2.0 course.
I don’t belive Tullman has a true team that can do all the things that he is talking about in his salescopy. He always say he is giving you something free but at the end of “Free” he tries to sell you something. If this guy is a true millionaire why is he using “Old School” tactics to mislead folks. does he think there’s that many nieve people in the world. He reminds me of the other internet marketer “The Rich Jerk”.
Newbies beware!!
Hi, I don’t think that you were wrong about Tellman’s integrity. He sends out free CD’s using hypnoses to make you buy his program. But the worst of all, no matter how often you unsubscribe from his list he comes back like a boomerang. Just today I have had another email from this person, although I have
1.) unsubscribed more than 10 times
2.) have each time sent him an email to finally delete me from his list
And each time I was confirmed that they would do that right away and how ethical he and his company were. But some weeks later I get his emails again. It seems that I just can’t get rid of this idiot.
This kind of people should be stopped for once and all.
i don’t know who to believe. i searched for tellman knudson’s address and telephone. called the number. It rang and after hearing the answering machine greeting i hung up. If the property i saw in google maps is really his its a huge one.
i guess to make money you have to sell people info on how to make money. That is disappointing.
i guess the only way to make money and not get scammed is through affiliate marketing? And making a blog – thats like impossible right? unless you are talented in writing.
So you know how gizmodo has dealzmodo…man so everytime i buy from their links they get money huh? that is so genius. man
Hey. I know Tellman personally as a business associate.
I can understand that some people get upset.. Tellman sells hard, and people get excited… and have very high hopes.
But I can also vouch 100% that he is a good person, an incredible business mind, and that he’s truly on a mission to help people learn to make money online. His goal is to help people, and the list of people he’s helped is L O N G.
Sometimes people who aren’t successful take a LOT of motivation to get ‘em moving. Tellman puts it in overdrive to provide that motivation. His information and trainings WORK. They’re PROVEN, over and over again. But not everyone is up to making it happen, no matter what.
That’s why all his programs come with guarantees (as far as I know).
Folks need to take some responsiblity for their own success (or failure). Learn from people who know – and Tellman does – then TAKE ACTION.
It’s that simple.
wow! i came across him ad Dr. Tellman Knudson, with a solution to ADHD but the aggressive marketing turned me off ” act now or you will NEVER see this page again” so I decided to check him out. I see he’s quite the multitalent.
thanks
I can’t imagine how different this world would be if we never had to spend the best part of every day working, trying to make money, to pay banks the interest on loans?
The number of posts pro Tellman and con Tellman are somewhat in balance and since “donna” from Overcome Everything posted the website and phone number while seeming sincere I chose to continue or not based on how I was treated by phoning the 800 number…..It is a “NOT GOOD” number with no referral.
That’s good enough for me – NOT CONTINUING!
I sent my CC number for a product of theirs for $8.72 Canadian. After reading more I found it to be too complicated so cancelled my order the same day. They sent me confirmation. Today I find that they have already carged my CC for that amount.Rip off artists.
I just bought $0.99 for the course by Tellman & Shawn with the Free 1 month Membership. I just finish his 1st Chapter on Pre-school, I must say I do learn something. For that price, I dont think I can complain much. In my opinion, these “gurus” have put a lot of effort to produce the courses, webinars, CDs, websites, etc, and charging a dollar or $97/- is really cheap. For an old hand at IM, these courses are probably useless, but for newbies and those trying to start something, they do give some ideas and methods to follow. I think we should not worry too much about them scamming off us with the additional charges, small prints or monthly subscriptions. I never agree to “auto-renewal” or “auto-Charge”. My experience in this is to Check your Visa or Master card bills monthly or better still to call the Center up if you suspect something wrong, then if you don’t agree, just don’t pay up, and fill in the challenge/complaint form. There is also the 60 days refund in ALL ONLINE PURCHASE. Lastly, just report your card lost and replace a new one. A better way to to demand to pay by Paypal, and if the “gurus’ dont have that service, just dont buy anything from him.
I’ve been one of those trying to cancel for weeks and get a refund of my purchase. It took weeks an many emails to get cancelled and get refunded. His custom support sucks majorly, and the woman working there is very rude when people are cancelling or asking for refund. The product was a joke and only geared toward a total newbie, and not for people with online experience.
And I was also called many times to buy the $50,000 mentoring… Yeah right… Very annoying and nerve breaking experience all together.
Than I did try to stop their emailings and were able to close most, but am still getting emails and from these I don’t know how to cancel.
Run as hard as you can and do not submit any email you cannot cancel when subscribing to whatever from Tellman and co
To these “posters” (assuming that they are not in they employ of Tellman…a big assumption),
Whether you like Tellman Knudsen’s products is irrelevant. The facts are:
1- His company does not honor his refund guarantee
2- He makes it difficult to contact his company
3- His company does not respond to support tickets or emails – at least not those asking for a refund.
Even if he had the best product in the world, these 3 behaviors make him disreputable and possibly criminal.
No wonder the guy has the giant beard and all that hair. He’s hiding.
Allan Gardyne published an ebook called 77 Ways to Get Traffic and I thought it was very good. The book was 69 pages long and contained links to longer more detailed articles.
The price was a whopping $0 dollars and $0 cents.
Yeah, you heard right… Free!
Lets face it… there is really no new thing under the sun.
God Bless,
Mark
there is a way around all of this.
cancel by going to your bank and ordering a new
card. I know this takes time, but it STOPS the process of them debiting your card. I had a $1
deal with some idiot from google supposedly. Well
I immediately canceled the next day. within 72 hours which negates any so called contract. Any contract. They continued to bill my card and the bank told me that they would probably continue unless I ordered a new card. I ordered the new card. End of story. Forced continuity is something that most of them will try and do to you. This is the quickest and easiest way out.
Try it any other way and you’re wasting your time. CANCEL immediately.
Yes, I understand the only way to get Tellman Knudson grubby hands out of my pocket is to cancel the credit card. But the more we talk about this, the better. He needs to be exposed. If we make the effort, maybe he can be greeted at the end of his little pleasure trip with handcuffs.
Just like you all here I’ve been searchin the net 4 info. There r a lot of guru’s givin free or $1 trials. In the past 3 months I’ve been ‘forced’ to cancel my visa card 3 times.
One of the easiest ways to uncover the pitfalls of the signup is to read the Privacy Statements & Terms of Service. I print & read them prior to givin up my visa.
Recently one guru, who gave me good info @ 1st, emailed with a seemingly great opportunity, the Master Reseller rights for 20+ ebooks. 1st I read the agreements, which were not on the sales page but on another website.
I was agreeing to let them install cookies on my hard drive and giving them access to communicate with my computer, bypassing me. I’d also be agreeing to give them access to all the data on my computer, and give them the rights to sue me for $10K per violation of their terms. However, several times they state I will have no recourse if they kill my computer or infect it. No recourse, none. No liability on there end. Wow, I’m SCARED now.
READ THE TERMS OF SERVICE & PRIVACY STATEMENTS
If you don’t agree, don’t give up ur card, regardless of how great they claim the offer is.
I usually wait 24 hours before ordering. And I keep an empty visa card which I deposit just the amount of money I’ve agreed to spend.
My observations of Tellman, as a hopeful newbie online, subscribed to his 30 day trial @ the LISTBUILDERS Club. So far the site answers a lot of my questions and is giving some great directions. However, buyer beware. As with any/all GURU info, It’s All Good Today, then the UPSELL. There is always an UPSELL, u just gotta know this is coming, it’s a reality of the sale.
Education is expensive, check out the tuitions of the colleges in your area. The value of these free offers is a matter of personal opinion. If you’ve got time to check out all the info they provide 4 free you may find it worth the money to sign up in the future.
Tellman’s got a lotta friends in the internet world. He’s a newbie. He’ll make a lota mistakes. Your emails suggest he’s working on being more integral.
Mark Joyner has a community BB asking 4 feedback on what’s working or not with Tellman’s services.
http://www.markjoyner.name/…/5597-whos-tellmans-listbuilding-club.html -
Seems they want to improve and they need ur help. If you want ur money back, tell them, ask 4 your money back. If Tellman’s bank statement is all u’ve claimed, he’s plenty of moola to live on and can afford to give you all your money back, it’s just good PR.
The net is a great big place, just like any where else in the world, there are cons and there are those making a lotta mistakes that may offend us.
What really makes the diff is if they improve.
It’s not what they have been, it’s what they become through constructive feedback.
I’ll be recommending Tellman get a copy of Zappo’s customer service “Culture Book” available from tony@zappos.com.
Growth and change are constants.
Well, seems Mark Joyner won’t accept any more comments. In the small print, in the lowest part of the BB page, it says they R no longer accepting comments.
So, I went to runtellmanrun.com and made my recommendation.
Zappo’s “Community Culture Report” is FREE, how can he afford to miss this opportunity?
I hope he’ll act, it sure will be to his benefit.
Is Tellman a scam.I have been following the likes of Tellman knudson,Shawn Casey, mark Joyner,Mike Filisame, and Willie Crawford for awhile now and have learnt a lot about internet marketing. Is Lbc a Scam for $1 the newbie gets taken by the hand and shown step by step how to make money on the internet. To all the sceptics posting on here all i can say to you is follow the instructions as giving and you will make money.there is an old saying “If you want to be successful find someone who is and do what they do” Follow your months trial to the letter and you will be making more than enough to pay for your monthly charges and have some left over.
I have every faith in what Tellman is teaching me and will even go as far as endorsing the LBC by advertising it on here http://www.gbmarketing.biz/list.html go there and read the sales letter then make up your mind if you want to be successful or not.Just remember after the month you will be making enough to pay for the monthly charges ONLY IF YOU DO WHAT YOU ARE SHOWN TO DO!!!

Hi,
I have been scammed by Tellman too. I too thought that I was paying only $1.00. I did not know that I had 30 days for trial. Infact I didn’t even look at the product or site or download any thing. But these crooks charged me $97.00 Not $67 or some thing. I called the number that the “Experience Manager” above has listed. That does not work. I called the number listed on the creditcard bill. That one says that due to heavy call volume go to the support site. It is very frustrating. I was told that even if I cancel my card, they will keep sending the charges. Can any one suggest how to get out of it? Iknow that Tellmnan is not going to respond or refund my money. what do I do not to get out. Please send me an email and let me know.
Thanks.
Sam
I just received a notice from my credit card company of a $97 charge from Tellman listbuilding club. I immediately put in a support request to have it taken off. I am always very careful to cancel any recurring charges after I sign up for a $4.95 intro offer. I don’t even recall this one. If Tellman’s support staff doesn’t take it off, I will complain to my credit card company and get it taken off. I don’t have $97 to give to these crooks. After this problem has been solved, I will justset up a filter to have Tellman’s name and companies blocked from my gmail account. His emails will go directly to “trash”. I’ve had enough of these scams.
I did the month trial for $1 with Tellman’s list building club and even got my dvd from Shawn Casey about a week before i was to be charged the $67 I submitted a request to the support desk stating that due to the fact I lived in New Zealand and with the exchange rate it was going to cost me 4140 per month i could not afford it and please cancel my membership. within 24 hours i received an email from them saying no problems and it was done
Everybody’s got an opinion, right?
Here’s mine. The jury is out for me on Tellman.
I have been running an online business in conjunction with a brick and mortar for almost two years. I signed up for one of Tellman’s courses (the traffic one). I like his style, and the information *seems* helpful. Will it pay off? I haven’t gotten it all implemented yet to find out. However, some of the pointers there have been useful, and have increased my traffic somewhat. Whether it ends up paying for itself or not, I do not know.
I will say that after reading all the negative comments, I am aghast that he is providing such terrible customer service through his company. In my own online business, we put a premium on customer service, because we realize that one bad thing said by a disgruntled customer can really harm us down the road. I am very surprised he hasn’t gotten on top of this. It reminds me of some stuff I read about Mark Joyner – there were a few similar kinds of stories. But every time someone had a complaint, I saw a personal note from Mark addressing the complaint, which at least gave some confidence that he cared about his image. Tellman needs to wake up and get a clue about this. He should be posting here about how he personally is going to take care of these people who feel ripped off.
Now, I wouldn’t call this a “scam” (you do read the fine print don’t you?), but I would call it very bad customer service and very bad PR (I was shocked when I saw this stuff). It is unfortunate, because he at least puts on a good act of wanting to do the right thing. Come on Tellman, clean it up!
I’m not employed by him. My website is http://www.cycle9.com, and we sell bikes – (last thing I heard, Tellman wasn’t selling bicycles).
I am writing to urge everyone to tone down the rhetoric. A scam is different from lousy pr and lousy customer service – though neither is a good thing, and Tellman should get his act together.
I wrote a post on here on May 27, 2009.
I haven’t been here since and decided to come back and see if my post was still there. To my surprise it is. I thought for sure it would have not made it past the moderation.
I found the following short post directly under it:
————-
Has anyone noticed that the only comments supporting this guy are extremely long, well written posts (sales letters anyone?)
Its pretty obvious they are being written and posted by people employed by this guy.
Smells like a scammer to me
————
I want to thank the person who wrote it for it helps with my self-esteem in that the writer thought of it as being well written.
And no…I assure you I am not nor was I ever employed by Tellman. I was just being honest about how I saw this company and what was written about it that started this thread.
And yes, I probably could write a long sales letter if I wanted to. That day is yet to come.
I am no longer a member of the LBC. I got what I wanted out of it and left. It is expensive. In my opinion however, I think the subscription is well worth the money until the information there is absorbed. After that, I don’t think it is worth the two or three videos that come out between intervals.
If a person could get all this information in a month (I don’t think it’s for a month anymore) he’s doing well! Albeit if he must take a couple months and pay for the subscription I still think it’s well worth it. I haven’t been there since about the time I wrote my first post on this blog. I unsubscribed.
Nobody can say this was a “trick” however because it was right there in black and white. It’s not that I’m a “supporter” for Overcome Everything, just that I personally found that all the information was plainly there which spelled out the implications involved in the deal.
In my own mind there is nothing controversial in the way the stipulations were presented. Get what you want out of it and get out when you are done – which is what I did.
This is very characteristic of the “slam notes” that used to be passed around classrooms when I was in school. The Internet overflows with this kind of garbage on blogs like this. I find some of it quite humorous, some others just plain sad. Some have a point but others, well they’re just plain ignorant and what they write does nothing more than show their dirty, smelly underwear for the whole world to see.
Well, I’ll be back in about six months to see how this thread is going…until then…
It took me months to get off of his email lists, kept saying I was unsubscribed but clearly wasn’t. I believe he used to use aweber but notice he doesn’t now. Having read these comments it not hard to guess why….er banned…
The emails sent out are just like a wagon train – in a circle. I just got fed up of being asked to join another list, and another list, and another list all on list building. Glad I didn’t buy anything.
Also the long post praising him here look soooo…written by a copy person it’s untrue. Clearly spam – put of 40 posts here only 3-4 seem in his favour!
WOW, WOW and WOW.
I don’t how to respond.
This man, Tellman, has helped changed my life.
He barely knows me, I’m being compensated in any way. I’m a customer of his, and other of his ‘guru’ friends. I have spent thousands on Stompernet, ListBuilding Club, Matt Bacak, Dan Kennedy.
Well, if these guys are scam artists, they aren’t very good. Sure, they all got may $10k of my money.
But I have my own Internet Marketing Agency.
I have 5 employees, 7 contractors.
I have 150 customers around the USA.
I’ll publically share my company. You want to know more about me??
Google ‘Internet Marketing for Small Business’.
Yes, that’s me #1. Do you homework. I’m published and have a very legitimate marketing agency.
I learned all of this from Tellman and his ‘scams’ and friends.
Oh well, say what you want about this man. I would gladly publish my public thanks to this man and his work. He’s simply a brilliant person.
I’d like to say that unless you have any kind of business experience Tellman might seem like an empty promiser. To the contrary, he is a genius!!!
You have to be ready to be able to act on education and on information or it will mean little to anybody.
Even creating a site or blog takes work. Nothing in life is easy.
All of the people making these comments answered to ads that made it seem too easy but for someone who is ready to absorb these concepts…WOW.
So before you make a judgment, try to see something to the end.
Follow all of the steps on listbuilding.com before you throw in the towel. Nothing works on the 1st try but if you do what other successful people do, over and over again than you get the same results. 3 cheers to Tellman Knudson!!!

I’ve actually been following this Listbuilding stuff for a couple of days and I’ve never seen such a load of cr@p on the internet.
There was a video on the youtube recently with some guy called ‘Danny’ from listbuilding talking about how to ‘pick a niche’. It’s the same old information which a million other people have retold on the internet but the way he presented it was what got to me. Trying to be all cool and make it sound different and interesting while the whole time delivering pathetic NLP type commands of ‘take action’ etc. (There is even a whiteboard in the background with ‘take action’ written on it). Then the guy sticks his face into the camera and smiles effeminately while telling you how you will succeed if you ‘try harrrd’ and do what he says. (while adverts to the site URL are displayed)
What a pathetic individual and a pathetic ‘company’. Anyone who charges someone so much to ‘learn how to make money’ is a low life scammer in my book and all of the stories above don’t surprise me one bit. These are the types of people not intelligent enough to earn a living through any decent means.
LOL at Donna above trying to sound all professional. Do yourself a favour love and get yourself a proper job.
Aint it funny how after so many posts which debunk this scam, all of a sudden a few people turn up to defend this company as those who have had success with it? Because of course all of these rich people are going to be searching for “Listbuilding with Tellman Knudson – Scam”, lol.
I hope everyone spreads the word about this rubbish. I will certainly be posting on my comments on my sites about this scam soon.
Btw I did post my comments on the mentioned youtube video but surprise, surprise it was deleted – twice.
i always check-out companies at Ripoffreport.com and can’t find anything on these thieves.
did find godaddy.com and 1and1.com thieves there though.
What other ‘consumer’ websites are there for checking out thieves?
I can’t speak for Tellman today, but I bought one of his programs a couple of years ago. It was expensive (almost $200). I actually talked to him and Mark Joyner personally one time (on a webinar type call).
Now I can’t speak for turning a $1000/month business into a $10,000/month business, but I can tell you this: His program contained good solid information which one can take for what they will. I applied what I learned and my business went from making almost nothing and not being able to support myself, to nearly matching the salary of my last good job, which is not a small accomplishment!
Now I travel the world (or Asia really) freely and can go where I want, as long as I have a computer and internet connection I can do my business.
The sad reality is people want a magic pill to make a million without any EFFORT. People are afraid to put in the WORK. I WORKED to get my business where it is, but the information from Tellamn, Joyner and others can be useful if you take it and APPLY it. No one and no information is going to magically make you rich. You need a dream, a vision and to actually DO SOMETHING about it.
Hi,
Thanks for all the info on Tellman, I almost fell victim of his Scams after recieving an email about his 90 minute cash advance system which is suprise suprise $1 trial then $67 per month there after. I have recently started a Website to help people start making money on the Web and I would like to advertise legite online opportunities on my site. So if anyone know’s of any legite opportunites I would be happy to hear of them.
I got interested and signed up. Since then I have an email trying to sell me something at least 5 times per week. I clicked the bit to unsubscribe, I reply to emails saying unsubscribe, I beg and pleasd to be removed and still the junk spam emails still keep coming.
I want it to stop but………..not sure if this guy cares how much he upsets people. Not a happy lady since I put my info into his opt in box.
Beware.
Linda
Any tutorials out there how to become expert in List Building ?*;~
First, I don’t work for Tellman Knudson. Second, I spent my $1 and went through the problems of finding the right support sight to cancel my account. Third, I didn’t want my $1 back because I got value for it for the time I was on the site.
Fourth, and most important, I have been scammed by other “gurus” over the past five years. I have never been scammed by Tellman. Why? BECAUSE I HAVE LEARNED HOW TO READ! As a young person my parents told me to always read the fine print of any contract. Signing up for anything online is, after all, a contract, plain and simple.
Iff and that is “if and only if” in mathematical language, you will take the time to fully and completely read the sales page, the order page and the terms of service for anything you sign up to do on the Internet, you, too, will likely not get scammed by anyone. Especially since the beefing up of regulations by the FCC, it’s all there for you, but you have to READ IT!
The guy above who compared buying on the net with signing up for a book club, Columbia House or BMG Music was right on. If you don’t read and heed you have to pay. It is really that simple.
Now, as to getting money back, again I say READ and then DO AS THEY ASK. Then you will get your refund if you are due one. It is as simple as was playing kick ball on the playground as a child. If you follow the rules, then you get to play and get what you want. If you don’t, you get kicked off the team and likely will go screaming home to Mama, i.e. complaining and Kvetching on a site like this.
Grow up people! It really is nice to play in the grown up world. There is a lot of information and learning out there for free or next to it when you read and play by the rules from Tellman and many others. It is the best scam protection I know. Oh, yeah and remember TINSTAAFL —-There is no such thing as a Free Lunch. Someone, somewhere pays for it. Peace —Ellen
all i can suggest to all victims of the tellman scam is sum one should write in to BBC,s WATCHDOG and let the proffessionals chase him up n investigate!
just watched the video , first post on this forum was nearly two years ago and this bloke tellman says that the offer wont be available very long Ha just glad am not that thick to sign up and done my research first
I’ve read through the majority of posts here and their seems to (if I missed it I’m sorry) be the massive elephant in the room we’re all failing to see and that is good money is hard to make.
I’m in business and the best thing to do is keep it old school but use new technology to enhance the customers experience. Myself and my business partner went out their door knocking homes and used the web to better the customers expereince from that point onwards.
Just be truthful to your clients, don’t over sell yourself and they’ll appreciate your geunine hard work you put into helping provide them with a great solution.
Best of luck to you all.
well i am a sucker for these sort of scams
only the voice telling us “his story” is the same voice that tells many of these stories
of how they made a shit load of money at home, how to lose weight in so many days etc etc
im so sick of getting these scam emails why cant
they be completely free and real.when you think about it if you had a secret on how to make money would you share with strangers?i know i wouldnt no matter how nice of a person you are
you just wouldnt.its not asecret then is it.
Well what caught my eye first about this, is there product cant be bought through something like click bank. That way i no I’m going to get my refund. His is not. Hay I’m tired of learning the hard way.
Tellman”
You always said money back waranty for 365 days but why you never refund it back my money when I earn nothing. I want my money back that I already spend with you to purchase your BS. Prove it your word to me. Please refund it back my money After I recieved my refund from you then I could say that you are honest not bully and real man in this earth. Otherwise you go to HELL if you don’t refund back my money. Include 15 your employee. Also Dan Kushell plus all his business partner Plus Mary Gersten who talk bulshit for money back waranty.
These name is con artist scam Tellman Knudson, Dan Kushell, Mary Gersten, Jamie Lewis ripped off all the credit card money with the promise 365 days money back waranty. But when you really do not making money at all they denied to refund it back to you. NO ONE these con artist sacm refund it back what they promise to you.
THEY ALL B.S. TYPE OF PEOPLE. THEY EARN MILLION OF DOLLAR RIPPED MILLION PEOPLE MONEY.
Hmmm, well guys- I’ve actually read everything you’ve all said here. I DID! It took me a while and it made me thirsty so I just went to get a drink and I’m back. Ahhhhh. Now….
I’ve considered all the points…thank you for all your combined energy and time- wow! Really thank you so very much. Yet somehow I really think- and I’ve not even bought into Tellman’s course yet, that most of you are a bunch of cry babies. It just sounds that way. That’s my opinion based on everything presented.
I’ve worked with the mass public for many years and consulted many businesses and I can’t help but get the feeling that your stories are partial and totally subjective. Your reality is not everyone’s reality and when looking for facts, they need to stand up to UNIVERSAL conclusions for this to be considered a SCAM.
When making a choice I turn to facts and objectivity and those who have been objective on this sight as well as those who have shown subjectivity have shown me that I should look into the Tellman videos and training course.
As for me- I don’t have all the time in the world to search, find and test tactics and would much rather prefer that someone who has done it before can help me with information and show me the ropes. Time is ticking and we’re not getting any younger, so I want to get down to it and get my sites up to what they should be. The time I would normally spend exploring and learning on my own for “free” actually has a cost in terms of hours, weeks and months of life. I’ve been messing with that for about a year already.
Learning through a more experienced person shaves time off of my busy life, so I can instead go do something of higher value, as such heeds the justification in an investment focused on internet marketing training. Originally I was just looking for Splash or squeeze pages templates but I realize my need is greater. In a few weeks, I will opt to use the Tellman system and will post my findings after the fact.
I don’t fear anything any of you have negatively said because in a 100 years neither of us will be here to care. Life is short so I wish you all well. When the student is ready, the teacher appear. Sometimes even when human beings have the best teachers we never want to listen because we aren’t ready to listen… that’s not a vote for Tellman’s course. That’s just UNIVERSAL human habits that might quite possibly apply to many of you. I know it applies to me.
Anyhow- recently I’ve been promoting business opportunities in the deregulation of energy markets across the USA. It’s fun and easy, yet still requires work, yet residuals are really good. I’m sure that many of you will say that’s a scam too! LOL So go check it out, http://www.3ideas.info and get back to me.
Cheers to all and more importantly- BE well so you can DO well,
Simon
Great review guys. Nice and honest. You could turn this into a very profitable niche
He’s right about making so much money – but for himself. We are just the monkeys that spread his pyramid system and promote other idiots not men enough to become computer scientists.
In 2008, I signed for his “Listbuilding Secrets CD” and it really was grade A bull. He went around talking silly things about his grandpa, no pictures, no video, nothing…and then the thing was over.
Just to add penury to insult, I was billed for that FREE CD, and it was recurring; had I not taken proper action before, I’d still be paying for that mind job there.
Every day, you get E-Mail from him in the same, suspicious manner, and if you ever type in your E-Mail address in any of these fields, prepare to get more and more E-Mail!
But the thing that I mostly find insulting is the fact that if you really followed up his everyday junk mail, you’d actually be spending well over 200 bucks daily for USELESS CRAP – you’ve been warned. If you don’t have enough backbone for a 9-5 job, ít’s OK, but if you believe in this crap, then you’d better check yourself – you are a good example, Liam (post on top of mine), congrats!
This asshole should be in jail for fraud, or even better, for infecting the Internet with disinformation and essentially preposterous links.
