Having owned this business for a good 10 yrs this September, you think you really have seen it all. A boy that looked to us – about 16 yrs of age came in and bought some lighter. I had joked with him about buying lighters to burn the house down..?? in which we both laughed it off. A few mins later after he left, a woman came in telling us that it was “against” the law to sell lighters to 13 yrs old !!!!!! Okkkkkkkkkkk…!! firstly, he didn’t look 13 to us.. and secondly .. should she be telling her kids that .. and not us..?? We called the cops immediately.. and apparently for those parents who don’t know this.. selling lighters to 13 yrs old isn’t illegal although not advisable. So we didn’t break the law.. plus if your kids is doing the “bad” stuff or “breaking” the law..?? With parents like this who needs weight loss pills eh.

I think that if the kids are old enough that a lighter can be bought, than his mother should have talked with him, instead of going to you and complaining. Its not like it would have made them go bankrupt with your lighters 2/$1. If the mother has a problem with it than she needs to sit down with her kid and tell him that he is not to purchase certain things. Its not your job to raise any kids, other than Chloe!
