Finally a Short Vacation

So after several years of getting shafted when it comes our turn to take a trip, we finally got out of town for a few days and went to Halifax. Normally we’d let the employees take their time off first, but then when it came time for us to take a break, they’d either be sick or unable to work for various reasons, so we’d be stuck with no vacation time for ourselves. Now we’ve decided that if no one is available to work, we’ll just close the store for a few days or a week or whatever.
I don’t expect to be taking any lengthy Orlando vacations any time soon, but it’s nice to get out for a few days at a time once in a while. Next time we’ll probably go to either PEI or New Brunswick, since Halifax is our usual destination and really isn’t that interesting any more.
