Competition Closing

I wish I could write some better news, like GameStop or Movie Gallery was going out of business, but unfortunately it’s our competition from across the road that is shutting down. 10 to 10 Video has been around for as long as I can remember, I used to rent from there when I was a teenager, so it’s kind of sad to see yet another long time downtown business closing up shop.
I don’t know a lot of the details yet, but there’s a For Lease sign in the window, so that definitely points to bad times. Unless they’re just moving to Starrs Road like everyone else. Not likely though, but I’ll try to find out more this week. I’m really curious as to how much the lease is, because as much as I hate moving it’s a nice large open space with a parking lot in the back and located between 2 busy places; Toots and the YMCA.
Update ahahahahaha $3500 a month! For 4000 Sq. ft! Downtown! That’s insane. I could get on Starrs Road for that price, granted it wouldn’t be that big a space but still. I had 4000 sq ft on Central Street for only $1400 a month and with these “hard economic times” I doubt he’ll have an easy time renting it out at $3500.
