I’ve been toying with the idea of setting up an online store for years now, but it’s a lot of work to set up and maintain. Getting shopping cart software is easy, but getting something that would tie in with my existing POS software is all but impossible. I’ve looked into online fulfillment services but again, they don’t quite fit what I’d need to do something properly. Since I can’t integrate with my current software, I’d have to manually remove items from the website whenever they sell in the store. So if someone tries to buy an item online at the same time it sells out in the store, I have to deal with refund processing or hunting down another copy. Too much work!
