Once Again we Consider Moving

Well. As many of you know, the town council has been working on a revitalization plan for the downtown. And so far they are being fought every step of the way. So once again I’m turning my attention to Starr’s Road. As I sit here looking through my empty store to the road outside, I see hardly any traffic. Yet 20 minutes ago when I had to go to Sobeys, the parking lot was packed and there was tons of traffic all over the place. If I could just find a place where the rent was reasonable I’d jump all over it. Even if I have to pay say, $500 more, than what I’m paying now, I’m sure all that extra traffic would bring in enough to cover that. It can’t be any worse than downtown Main Street, right?

I looked at one place that might fit the bill but I’m still waiting to hear back about how much it will cost and how much it’ll cost me to fix up the place if I take it. There’s some broken ceramic tiles that need to be fixed, lots of electrical work to be done and of course the expense of moving in general. And the time it takes. I hate moving and I don’t want to, but if I want to make it through another 10 years, I just may have no choice.
