Parade Street Or Collins Street

Someone was in the store the other day.. and asked my view regarding Th ‘Yarc and the present debate and fiasco that is going on .. about whether it should be on Parade Street or Collins Street? Who do I support? I’m an inside outsider and really I cannot give my comments nor will what I say carry any weight right? Why an inside outsider..?? well I’ve been a resident for 10 yrs.. but I would rather spend more time going for Orlando vacations rather than staying here, because of the cold.. hahah!! you can’t really blame me eh..?? since I’m from a place that is summer everyday all year.
Yes, back to whether Th ‘Yarc should be on Parade Or Collins Street? Firstly, I wanna say I salute the people who are fighting so hard to get the town to be on their side. On the other hand, I can definitely see the vision of the town council – a way bigger picture than any one of us can picture in our head now. But as much as I think both parties have valid reasons, all the name calling and the conspiracy insinuation must stop. We’ve all heard the side of Th’Yarc and we’ve heard the response from the Council. Both parties have their vision, both parties have hopes, both parties mean well.
Finally, what do I think..?? As a downtown business owner by association, I would love to see the Arts Center come downtown, but having said that I feel that we shouldn’t force anyone to do anything they don’t want to do. And if by any chance Th’ Yarc ever moves to Collins Street, the town council should never be on their advisory board. The town council must never have the say on how they should run things; that we have to respect. My 2 cents worth as an inside outsider – now don’t bite me for saying what I said.
