In just a few days from today the year is coming to an end. Goodbye 2009 and Hello! 2010 – what would 2010 bring for us here in Yarmouth? As I am looking at some stuff at Baby jogger city select for a gift for a friend, I can’t help but wonder if the grass is greener over at her end. With Yarmouth probably losing the CAT for the summer of 2010, and representatives of the CAT and the town already in talks with the Premier, it isn’t looking up.

Customers have asked us if without the Tourism will it hurt us – the small businesses in this town? Even though our business rarely involves tourists directly, I think it will be a chain reaction here. How so? Well, the CAT brings in the tourists, and the tourism in turn creates jobs for the people in this region, not only Yarmouth. People with jobs spend money, maybe not in our store but at other places who in turn create more jobs and may spend money in our store.

Does it look bleak for us? We have the Walmart, Movie Gallery, Superstore who went into electronics when they renovated and opened their new store a few years ago. We also have Staples and last year we have Game Stop to compete with us, but we survived it all so far.

And we will continue to do our best to provide value for money. We are prompt with computer repairs and usually take less than 12 hrs to return your computer to you. We are the cheapest when it comes to servicing your PC, laptops and electronics. Anyhow, we are open on New Year’s Day – from 12 pm to 5pm – so come by and buy some stuff!
