Help The People In Haiti

We have seen many people come thru’ our store for the last 10 yrs and while i sit and read about these 8 volunteers from yarmouth in Haiti – I cannot but help feeling proud. Proud that there are good and unselfish folks from here. Ever since we’ve heard about the Earthquake, we keep brainstorming how we can help them. Do we put a bottle at our store and encourage ppl to donate? Is it legal for us to do that? I mean if you ask me about the best weight loss supplement, i would have no problem telling anyone – or to make money online. But if you ask me about the protocols for donating money or collecting donation of this kind – i know next to nothing.
But tonite, as i read the blog again, you can find that they had set up a direct donation thru’ paypal. So hop over to their Haiti Mission Team 2010 blog – you will be able to do it there. Just so you all know if you are donating using paypal – choose to donate using “personal” instead of a purchase or transaction – that way – paypal can’t take a cut on the amount you are donating. I hope you will find it in your heart to help these ppl in Haiti.
