Why Must People Steal?

I seriously don’t understand the mentality of people who rent a movie and then never bring it back or pay for it’s replacement. Are they really so hard up for that movie that they are willing to steal it? Yes, it is theft. If you rent something for a day, then never bring it back, how can that not be stealing? I realize a DVD isn’t exactly expensive, not like a Garmin GPS or anything, but at an average of $25 each it still adds up. Take a certain.. person.. who rented 3 movies from me just over a month ago. I’ve gotten ahold of her on the phone a couple of times and every time she gives me the same sort of “I don’t give a shit about your movies, too bad for you” attitude. Supposedly her friend was supposed to drop them off 2 weeks ago and she’ll “see what she can do”.
So, I resorted to posting a list in the store of people who have ripped me off, their names along with the dollar value of the stolen items. And still most of them don’t care! Assholes.
