I’m borrowing these pictures from Rod Hemeon’s Yarmouth Streetscape website to show that Forest Street stands today almost identical to how it looked over 100 years ago. It may not look like this for much longer though, as the plans of certain people begin coming to light.

Well that’s some interesting news that will probably shock the average Yarmouthian. Apparently the ‘big plan’ for Forest Street is to chop down the trees, wide the road, put in curb and guttering and add parking to the side of the street. The reason for doing all of this?
