Shoplifters

First things first, we did NOT stage these videos, the footage is 100% real. These people were caught on camera and reported to the police. Months later when apparently nothing was done about it, we got fed up and printed out pictures to put on the wall and on our website. Shoplifting in our store has been practically eliminated since we put the pictures up.
September 21, 2007 – It’s been over a year but we finally have some new shoplifters to put up. First the guy tried to steal a power supply but when someone got his attention he put it back, then wandered down back and stole some blank cassettes. Value? Less than $20.
Edit Jan 11, 2008 – apparently this fine upstanding gentleman (whole stole DVDs from us, and later came in to get violent over his picture being on display) was underage at the time he committed the crime and his mommy has a problem with us having his video up on the website. I have agreed to take it down because I didn’t know he was underage and the law protects these innocent little angels while us evil shopkeepers get the shaft we so deserve. Good job mommy, you’ve raised him well.
Here’s some other shoplifters in action.
Here we have (name deleted) stealing a 4 Port USB Hub valued at $35.
YES BUDDY! WE DO HAVE CAMERAS, IF YOU WERE ANY CLOSER IT WOULD HAVE KICKED YOU IN THE NUTS!

lmao ha ha. dummy!
I can’t understand why people are doing something like that! More understandable to me is when a person is hungry and don’t have money for food. But still it’s a crime, I know. But stealing something like that? For fun or what? Maybe someone is addicted, a kind of sickness.
hmm.. most shoplifter wears jacket hehe..
Why would you steal from Gator Byte? Whenever I go down to Yarmouth, I always visit Gator Byte… They have all kinds of cool stuff, and stealing just drives the prices of electronics or anything else for that matter up…
I just happened onto your site and found this. I think it’s a good idea to show your shoplifters in action. Nothing like a little truth. It might just set them free from their foolishness. These people are hurting someone’s business for very temporary gains. It is a good action to take to discourage criminals.
I am a very frequent “Gatorgoer” and i find it hilarious to see these people in action, although… it sort of saddens me to see that they got away with it
LOL. I think showing your stealers online is a fabulous idea, maybe they will get embarassed and never do it again, maybe people will not let them into a party because they steal, nothing bad has become of you posting their faces online (except the police doing nothing) good job Gatorbyte.
Wow. Just wow. It’s cool to put this stuff up, because I agree the justice system is pretty messed up and sometimes we have to take it into our own hands. However, I also worry about the legality, of publicly exposing images or videos of people without their consent… As ridiculous as the justice system is, maybe Gator-byte could be held liable for ????? happens. I just hope everyone in the end somehow gets somewhere good.
